The Power of the Professional

It is a truth universally known- that you should not trust your wedding photos to Aunt Sarah with the nice camera.

But why have other vendors not been extended this same due respect for the work and profession of their fields? Clients, friends, and even wedding professionals share videos and tutorials for how to do what a vendor does. How to craft your way through a big day. How to make something for your celebration that your guests will look at and you will have immortalized in the photos you get back. But is that truly how you want this most memorable day to look? Thinking “I can do that”? Maybe you can. But is this really the time to try?

To say it boldly: Your wedding should not be your next big DIY project. You may think it will be fun to get together with your bridal party and family, spending the day crafting for your wedding while you chat. However, that same experience can be had while putting together thank you gifts, tying bows on the favors and addressing envelopes to your guests. The fun and bonding energy tends to leave the room when you start to cry over your third attempt to make the flowers in the centerpiece sit the way you want them to. Let your hired florist shed those tears in their work studio, and then tackle it again while you are none the wiser.

Budgets are tight? We as wedding professionals understand that. We know there is a high price point to have the day of your dreams. Let us help you prioritize. Maybe your hair and makeup artist will be focusing solely on the way you look. Perhaps the stunning cake doesn’t need to be large enough to treat the entire room. When a client of mine expresses a hesitancy with a price point, I help lead them through how to make the very most of their florals within their budget. Where to focus, and where to alter or relinquish. We are on your side, and want the day of your dreams to truly be in your grasp. We will help you get there as much as we are able to.

Be present for your day. Don’t be working up to it. Allow the story to be crafted for you, around you, and made to celebrate you while you celebrate.
