From Canvas to Art: Making the Space Yours

When your guests arrive to your ceremony and celebration, they know who they are there to celebrate. However, with a space intentionally designed and curated, they don’t simply feel there to see, but to experience.

There’s a certain type of magic which sparks when you step into a space and it just feels like the people you’re there to celebrate. When a space is not simply decorated, but is transformed. When a story is told, when the artwork is presented, when the energy is specific and intentional, and feels inclusive and immersive.

For this event, we wanted the space to carry just the right amount of drama. To feel romantic, vintage, artistic, and like a combination of a rich indoor space and the earthy outdoors. The lines are blurred, the gap bridged, the experience decadent.

With deep grapes, trailing greenery, and romantic blooms adorning the walls, arrangements were not simply created- instead, a bit of art was born. Like brushstrokes drawing the eye up and around the space, creating movement and a deep expression without overpowering the room. The color palette called upon antique mauves, plums, ivory and merlot, balancing with the velvet settee and golden brushed vessels below. We leaned into and celebrated that richness, creating a feeling both romantic and regal.

Mixing texture is another important part of creating the atmosphere. Bold petals and lush green, wax candlesticks and sweet fruit, carved wood and soft velvet, colored glass and aged gold. The elements contrast and compliment one another, giving the eye plenty to view, the photographer plenty to capture, and making the space feel truly inhabited and alive.

It’s not simply about making things “look pretty”. I want you to feel like you have stepped into a living painting. Into a scene set specifically for you, intentionally with you in mind. Where every detail tells the tale in which you are the main character. If you are a planning bride who dreams in texture and colors, in brushstrokes and stories, you’re in the right place. It’s not just presenting you with flowers; it’s making a transformation just for you. As all things celebrating your special day should be.
